Political Scientist and Writer
I'm Conor Kelly—a political scientist, writer, and activist. I founded The Progressive American Report, a platform for informed political commentary and analysis from a progressive perspective.
My academic background includes a master’s in Political Science from the University of Illinois Springfield, where I received recognition for an outstanding comprehensive exam on Women's Recruitment for Public Office and Descriptive Representation. My bachelor's thesis, Ella Baker: Mentor and Fundi, explored Baker’s philosophy and influence on the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee.
Previously, I was an opinion editor at The Lorian and a contributor to the UIS Observer. Today, I continue my work through The Progressive American Report’s YouTube channel, podcast, and newsletter, committed to helping readers navigate today’s political landscape with clarity and depth.
